Attacus Atlas Moth This moth from the jungles of Malaysia is huge! The wingspan is over 8", the largest wing area. It's about 7" tall. That's why they call it Atlas. Comes in a 10" by 13" frame.
Notice the four spots which look like large eyes. This gives the illusion the size is larger than it really is, and tells predators beware. These spots are actually transparent, just like Saran-Wrap. Many fragile insects have self-preservation characteristics like this to keep from being eaten. You can also order both male and female and compare the differences-just order two and mention so in the comments field upon checkout.
